Seller Terms & Conditions

By listing books on PreownedBooks.ng, sellers agree to the following terms. These policies ensure a trustworthy, smooth experience for both sellers and buyers.

1. Book Condition

Books must be in good to excellent condition—free from stains, damage, torn pages, or markings that affect readability or resale value.

2. Visual Documentation

Each listing must include:

• Two (2) clear photos – front and back cover
• One (1) video – short flip-through showing internal condition

3. Non-Refundable Listing Fee

A non-refundable listing fee of ₦3,000 is required per seller account. This covers setup, platform support, and marketing exposure. It does not guarantee a sale.

4. Marketing & Advertising

Our team handles promotions, featuring your listings on social media and across online campaigns. We reserve the right to reuse your listing visuals for marketing purposes.

5. Delivery Responsibility

• Sellers are responsible for arranging delivery to the buyer’s address.
• Buyers pay for the cost of delivery.
• Use reliable, trackable delivery methods. Orders should be dispatched within 24–48 hours of confirmation.

6. Commission & Payouts

• 25% platform commission per successful sale.
• Seller receives 75% after delivery is confirmed.
• Payouts via bank transfer or provided payment details.

7. Payment Processing

Payment is processed after the buyer confirms receipt and condition of the book. Ensure your payment details are accurate.

8. Returns & Refunds

If a book’s condition does not match its description, buyers may request a return. Sellers are expected to cooperate promptly. Refunds are managed at our discretion.

9. Listing Accuracy

Provide honest and complete details—title, author, edition, condition, and any flaws. Misleading listings may be removed without notice.

10. Seller Communication

Respond quickly to inquiries from buyers and the PreownedBooks.ng team to maintain active listings and smooth transactions.

11. Dispute Resolution

If disputes arise, we may intervene to resolve them fairly. You agree to share requested evidence (e.g., photos, proof of delivery) when needed.

12. Termination of Listing

We reserve the right to remove listings or suspend sellers for policy violations or repeated buyer complaints.

13. Updates & Amendments

These terms may be revised. Updates will be communicated via email or dashboard alerts. Continued use implies agreement to new terms.

Final Agreement

By listing books for sale, you confirm that you have read and agree to these Terms & Conditions. Non-compliance may result in suspension or withheld payouts.
